05 Mar Airbnb App: How to Use Your Airbnb Mobile App for IOS
I use my Airbnb mobile app every day. This is one of the most treasured apps that I have. In this post, I’ll go over some general overview of the app for guests and hosts.
If you have not downloaded it yet, please head to iTunes and download it. Trust me, your life will be forever changed if you can leverage its functionalities correctly. Rest assured, I’m going to show you what I spend most of my time in.
For Guests
The mobile app can be seamlessly switched from guest app to host app. I stayed at an Airbnb last week when I was visiting LA with my girlfriend. I used the mobile app to book a fantastic Airbnb near the water in just a few minutes.
As a guest, you can discover a home for any trip purposes: work, leisure or plus. It has a 4.8 rating out of 5. It’s a beautifully designed app that anyone can use.

For Hosts
There are a few things that you should pay attention to:
- Inbox
- Calendar
- Listings
- Stats ( changed to Progress)
- Account (changed to Profile)
At first, you might be overwhelmed, but don’t be. I only use the mobile app for two things. One is the “Inbox” and the other is the “calendar.”
Inbox
This is where I answer any inquiries, respond to guests and general communication like check-in and check-out instructions. This is also where I spend the bulk of my time.
Calendar
This is where I get a quick glance at when my next check-in is so I can coordinate cleaning schedules with my maid.
Listing
This shows you your existing listings. So if you would need to make any changes, this is the tab that you would go and find your existing listing on your mobile app.
Progress
I only use the tab to see what my monthly earnings are. And sometimes, I’ll take a look at my views and bookings to see if I’m on track to hit my monthly goals.
Profile
I don’t really use this tab. I used it once when I needed to contact Airbnb.
Again, I spend most of my time on Inbox and Calendar tab. New tech can be overwhelming at first, so don’t get frustrated.
I hope this quick guide will help you to become a better host!

Posted at 16:38h, 04 NovemberWhat can you do when your calendar is not updating properly? Mine (host) is showing the older reservations in the “green oval,” but the newer bookings are shown as slash marks through the dates. I cannot get details by clicking on those “slashed “ reservations’ dates.
